TRUFF Green Bean Casserole

With the cold winter months ahead, you’re in need of a warm, savory side dish for those cozy nights at home and our green bean casserole recipe will certainly cut it!

This dish includes everything we love about the classic recipe with an added TRUFF twist for even more flavor and texture. The green beans and mushrooms are sautéed in our very own Black Truffle Oil for a savory umami depth and of course, the dish is topped with its signature cheese and fried onion crust.

INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Preheat the oven on low broil and place the oven rack right beneath the heat source.
  2. Place trimmed green beans in a large bowl, drizzle with TRUFF Black Truffle Oil and olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and toss to coat.
  3. Transfer the green beans to a large baking sheet and spread them out in an even layer.
  4. Place the baking sheet in the oven and broil for 5-6 minutes or until they begin to lightly char.
  5. While the green beans are broiling, place the mushrooms in the bowl and toss them with any residual oil and seasonings.
  6. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and add the mushrooms evenly.
  7. Return the baking sheet to the oven and continue to broil for five more minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven and set aside.
  9. Place mushroom soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, and paprika in a bowl and whisk to combine.
    1. Add half of the cheeses and half of the fried onions to the bowl and stir to combine.
    2. Add the broiled green beans and mushrooms to the bowl and stir to combine.
    3. Reduce the oven temperature to 375°F and return the oven rack to the middle of the oven.
    4. Transfer the casserole mixture to a large dish and top the mixture with the remaining cheese and onions.
    5. Bake the casserole for 25-30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown.
    6. Remove the dish from the oven and set it aside for 10 minutes before serving.
