Ingredients

24 oz. pizza dough, divided

1 cup pizza sauce

1 tablespoon TRUFF Original Hot Sauce

1 cup mozzarella, shredded

2 tablespoons grated parmesan

1 cup sliced pepperoni

1/2 cup green bell peppers, diced

1/2 cup red onion, peeled and diced

2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped

1/2 tablespoon fresh oregano

TRUFF Pizza Swirls

Pizza just got smaller and spicier!

Top your pizza dough with red sauce, mozzarella, parmesan, pepperoni, bell peppers, onion, fresh basil, and any other toppings you desire before rolling into swirls. Give these roll ups an extra kick by adding some of our TRUFF Original Hot Sauce. Serve these swirls alongside extra sauce for dipping!

Instructions

  1. Roll out one of the pizza dough portions into a rectangle. 
  2. Poke the dough with a fork and spread 1/2 cup of pizza sauce over the top. 
  3. Layer the sauce with 1/2 tablespoon of TRUFF Original Hot Sauce and sprinkle, evenly, with 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese and one tablespoon parmesan. 
  4. Spread 1/2 cup of pepperoni over the surface and sprinkle with 1/4 cup green bell peppers, 1/4 cup red onion, and one tablespoon basil. 
  5. Roll the dough into a tight cylinder, wrap with plastic wrap, and place in the freezer. Repeat these steps for the remaining dough portion. 
  6. Freeze both rolls for 30 minutes or until firm enough to slice. 
  7. Preheat oven to 425°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. 
  8. Slice rolls into 1-1 1/2 inch pieces. 
  9. Place the slices, swirl side up, on the baking sheet about one inch apart. 
    1. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. 
    2. Serve the pizza swirls with extra pizza sauce on the side for dipping and garnish with fresh oregano and parmesan.
