Pulled Pork Sliders

If you’re cooking for a crowd on game day, you’re going to want to add these pulled pork sliders to your roster.

Not only can this dish feed the masses, but you won’t have to spend the entire game in the kitchen thanks to this easy recipe. Prepare your pork with a flavorful combination of spices and let your slow cooker do all the work for the next ten hours.

Serve these sliders with a slaw made from a colorful blend of red cabbage, spinach, carrots, and fennel tossed together in a fun and creamy TRUFF Hotter Hot Sauce and pickle juice dressing. Don’t forget to leave TRUFF Original Hot Sauce and TRUFF Hotter Hot Sauce on the table for your guests to add!

Instructions

  1. Preheat the slow cooker.

  2. Dry the pork butt with paper towels and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.

  3. Add oil to the slow cooker.

  4. Once hot, add the seasoned pork butt, and sear on all sides until browned, about two minutes per side.

  5. Place vinegar, TRUFF Original Hot Sauce, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl, whisk to combine.

  6. Once the pork has seared, add sauce and bring to a simmer.

  7. Program to slow cook ‘normal’ and cover.

  8. Cook for 10-12 hours or until the pork is fork tender.

  9. When tender, program the slow cooker to ‘keep warm’.

  10. Shred the pork into bite-sized pieces.

  11. Keep the pulled pork in the slow cooker pot while you assemble the slaw.

  12. Place mayonnaise, pickle juice, TRUFF Hotter Hot Sauce, and honey in a bowl, whisk to combine.

  13. Add the cabbage, spinach, carrots, fennel, and pickles to the bowl, and toss to combine.

  14. To serve, divide pulled pork between toasted slider rolls and top with slaw.

  15. Drizzle the sliders with additional hot sauce before serving.
